When a perfect plan goes completely wrong!

So, this morning I went and scooped up Tailor and the sweet boys that she is babysitting first thing to get her blood work done. Everybody in our house is obviously extremely anxious to find out if the "remedy" that we are using from the naturopath is having any effect and to know whether or not we will be seeing our two favorite European boys sooner than later! We were in and out of the lab in no time and feeling really good about the fact that we would hopefully have results shortly after lunch. Never ever feel so confident about such things!
Tailor texted me shortly after lunch to find out her results, I told her I had no results but I assured her she would be the 2nd to know anything(because I would be the first). Then Chad called within minutes of that call and I assured him to know that he would be the 3rd to know anything, all while thinking in my head that this could be avery long afternoon if I didn't get a call soon. I am sure that some higher being heard my thoughts and decided that they would really teach me a lesson because within minutes of hearing from Chad, Sherry called to see if I had heard anything-like honestly people, if I knew something I wouldn't be keeping it a secret!!! This is all happening as I am driving Tucker to St. Jacobs to get some Birkenstock sandals to rectify his farmers tan. So, I am sure that you can imagine what Tucker is doing. Yes, he is picking up my cell phone to make sure that it is on and working because the doctor is not calling and then reminding me sporadically what time it is and how many hours ago we had the blood drawn.
By 4:30 I too am anxious because I am horribly impatient and Tailor is texting me every hour, Chad is calling for made up reasons, Sherry has PINGED me and Rob has started calling now too, so I decide as I am walking by the doctor's office that I will pop in to see if the results are there. The receptionist kindly informs me that she has not scene the results and the doctor is on call so he may have them but has not brought them into the office yet. So, this is where we start praying really hard that we get a call from the doc before his day ends because I do not think I will be able to handle waiting much longer! Have I mentioned yet, that our dear hosts in Sweden have also sent emails and a message via Facebook inquiring as to whether we are coming or not. Yes, even they are sitting on pins and needles and wondering whether their crazy Canadian guests will make the trip across the big pond!
So needless to say, by 5:30 I knew that my worst thought was coming into play! There would be no news from the doctor today, no matter how many times Tailor texted, Tucker spoke loudly at the cell phone to ring, Chad and Rob called or Sherry PINGED. It was obviously just meant to be last minute news and Friday will still be D-DAY!
