So, the verdict is in, for this week anyway and as of today we would be good to go BUT we have another 8 days before our booked departure. What does this mean? Well, it means that we have another work-up next week and we hope like heck that we see the numbers all go up for Tailor's sake-not for the trips sake! As of today her platelet count had dropped to 37,000 but her white blood cell count was at 3.8, which means it was up at touch.
I had a great conversation with our family doctor today, he reminded me that really Tailor could have been walking around with levels much lower than this and when we didn't know, we weren't panicing-so why are we now? Good point Dr, good point.
So for the next 8 nights I will hope for good results. Tailor's health is our priority right now. If the results aren't good-it's o.k.! We will get to Europe at some point whether it is this year or next or the year after that-we will get there! I know that both Johan and Aleks's families are hoping things go as originally planned, but they do support us in whatever decision we make.
