Friday got away on me!

Here it is on Sunday and I amjust posting about Friday-time has gotten away on me!  Friday was a bit of a down day, which allowed us to have fun together as a whole group.  The day started with the decision that Chad and I would bring a Swedish son home.  Oddly enough he has the same name as our son but has the nice blond hair of the Swedish children.  He seems like a nice enough kid and has a lot of the same characteristics of Tucker.  Here is his first official photo as a Canadian Swede.

We then went for a tour of the factory where they make the painted horses, the Dalecarlian Horses are a hand-carved and hand-painted horse that is a representation of the Dalarna Province of Sweden.  They make the horses all different sizes.  It was very neat to see.

After our tour we headed over to the bowling alley for a very competitive bowling game.  Of course, Johan(Mr. Competitive) kicked all of our asses.  We also found out there that Tucker has no hope of ever having a bowling career!  We had the pleasure of bowling with Elin, Johan's very cute girlfriend.

We then headed for the Harbour where we had a very nice supper.  It was a treat for the Stenis's for the wonderful hospitality they had shown us all week.  I think back to the night that Johan's dossier came to us and seeing his photo(my first thought being, "how will I feed him?"-lol) and I am so thankful that Chad and I immediately responded yes to him coming to our home.  Very quickly he became our second son and now his family has become our extended family.  We have been blessed by this friendship in so many ways.
Tailor and Tucker have become friends with Nellie and Inez.  They are the sweetest girls and have been so kind to all of us this week  In the photo you also see Bjorn, Nellie's boyfriend who is also a great guy.  He has joined us for a few meals and activities this week.
The last big thing of the day was to go see Inez at her riding lesson.  Tailor has really enjoyed going to the stable with Inez and helping to care for some of the horses.  She has learned things from Inez and enjoyed her company so much!

Inez has just owned her horse Chivas for 6 weeks but they are already a great pair together.  Inez and Chivas will go to a special riding school 8 hours south of home this school year!
When we arrived home that evening, Tailor and Inez baked us blueberry pie.  They had handpicked the blueberries at Kiki's cottage the other day and were determined to bake together one time.  We were treated to their pie as our bedtime snack that night.  It was delicious!
This would be our last full day with the Stenis's this week as we travelled over to Norway on Saturday.  The kids ended their day at 2:30 a.m. as they stayed up and had fun singing together while playing Singstar.
